- Visa required for stays over 90 days: You need a Type D (long-stay) visa before travelling if you plan to live in Bulgaria.
- Residence permit application: Once in Bulgaria, you must apply for a residence permit within 90 days.
- 90/180 day Schengen rule: As a tourist, you can visit Bulgaria for up to 90 days within any 180-day period without a visa.

Apply for a Type D Visa

Register Your Address
